Must Haves For An Incredible Independence Day Celebration

Summer is here, and we’ll be gathering to celebrate America the Beautiful before you know it. And if you’re thinking of hosting a birthday bash for our Great Nation, you’ll want to start planning now. If you’ve ever been to a Fourth of July party, you already know that the key elements are food, fun, and fireworks. However, there are a few more things you’ll want to take into consideration if your goal is to have a Fourth Of July party that everyone will rave about.

4th of July Table Setting ideas

Décor: Décor is an important part of any party, and while string lights and buntings are a great touch, you’ll want to be sure that you don’t overlook the table. Linens from the Narrow Stripe Collection are the perfect starting point when it comes to dressing your Fourth Of July table. Pair with pieces from the Amalfi Stripe collection or solids from the Classic Hemstitch collection for an adorable ode to the country’s colors. Once you’ve set the table, add in finishing touches that elevate the occasion and create a table that is quintessentially American. Look for things like tiny American flags, patriotic confetti, and star-shaped goodies that will help create a patriotic tablescape like no other.

Activities: Summer parties are all about having fun, so have some activities for your guests to enjoy. Lawn games like cornhole, ladder toss, or a giant set of Jenga blocks are always a hit. Having small prizes for each game is a great way to up the ante and foster a little friendly competition. Having a pool party? Be sure to have some themed pool floats on deck for guests to enjoy while sipping their favorite summer drink. And when the sun goes down, make sure guests have a comfy spot to cozy up and watch the fireworks.

Food: When it comes to food, feel free to stick with the cookout classics. Burgers, hot dogs, and barbecued chicken are easy and affordable crowd pleasers. Pair them with classic sides like macaroni and potato salads, baked beans, and fresh summer veggies. For dessert, you can’t go wrong with a platter of sliced watermelon, some fruit cobblers, or a festive arrangement of cupcakes. And, of course, it doesn’t get any more American than apple pie!

Drinks: Be sure to have plenty of water and soft drinks along with a batch of summery sweet tea or lemonade. And if you’ll be serving alcohol, you don’t have to spend a fortune on a fully stocked bar to please your guests. Toast to America with a signature cocktail, a batch of sangria, or a botanical vodka mixed with lemonade for a refreshing option that guests will also love.
